What do you do

April 11, 2007

what do you do
when you start to fall for your friend

what do you do
when they are all you can think about

what do you do
when your best friends ask who you like

what do you do
when you start to fall for your friend

…but he isnt falling for you

Dear Princess Jasmine

April 3, 2007

Dear Jasmine,

WOW!!! I have known you for a very long time and I have loved every minute of it! You are a really good princess and person. You are so sweet and kind to everyone, and you are always true to yourself. You are a hard worker and always stand up for what you believe in no matter what anyone else says. You are an amazing athlete and have grown in all aspects of your life. You have been such an amazing friend to me! You always got my back, and know that I got yours. I love how much we trust eachother. I am not afraid to come to you with any of my problems, because I know you will give me the honest answer and not just what I want to hear. You are so funny, you always put a smile on my face. Thanks for always listening to me. You are truely one of the best friends and team-mates a girl could ask for. It is so nice to always know I will have one princess by my side through thick and thin. I will cherish all of the good times we have had and look forward to see what else lies in store for us! Well, Prince Charming is calling me, so I need to bid you farewell. Tell Aladdin hello! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!

With Love,
Princess Aurora

Girls and Boys

March 20, 2007

Why are girls more judged than boys? Lets say that this girl and guy just meet eachother. They makeout. All the guys are proud of him. Why is it that the girl is the slut, and not the guy? I am one of those people who would never imagine doing this. But I know some people who would and have. The boys are all proud, and the girls are gossiped about as being easy. I personally think that whether you are a boy of a girl, it doesn’t matter. If you are willing to make out with someone you just met, then you deserve to get gossiped about. No one forced you to do it, so its your fault. I dislike the fact that so many boys and girls would do this. I don’t care if you had peer pressure, get over that and just don’t do it. And for those of you who have gone further than making out and don’t think that you’re a slut at age 13, think again.

Love Stinks

March 20, 2007

Love

It kinda sucks

You like a guy

And he likes you

You get all excited

You go out

It's goin good

Or at least that is what you think

You break up

You play it off like it is no big deal

But inside, you are hurting

The feelings that you had for him are still there

Even though he is not

He likes another girl

They go out

You feel as though your heart is being ripped out

But you can't tell anyone how you feel

They break up

You get excited

Maybe you could have another chance with him

But then, he likes someone else

And this one is more serious

They go out for a long time

All you can do is watch

And silently hope that they will break it off soon

When they do, you take a deep breath

Maybe now…

But he doesn't  know

He doesn't know that he is all you think about

When the phone rings, you pray that it is him

When you go to bed you wonder if he ever is thinking about you

He will never know unless you tell him

And that idea scares you

What if he doesn't like you anymore…

But what if he does?

Seventeen Magazine (AR+)

March 7, 2007

Mmmk so I was reading my Seventeen Magazine and I realized something. It doesn’t relate to me at all. Yes, it is fun to look at the stuff that looks good on the models and the funky ideas they give you for makeup. But you never are going to use it in your real life. Do you ever notice how all of the the magazines are filled with stuff you don’t need. Or maybe stuff that you can’t wear more than once. And, the stuff that you like, would look like total crap if you wore it! It also bugs me how all of the crap that is in there is either really expensive or it is in this crazy store that you have never heard of!

And some of the makeup things that they have in there, no one in their right mind would ever do that unless they wanted to be made fun of for the rest of your life! Also, they don’t do a very good job of telling you how to do something. I tried to do this one eye idea where you put a lot of eyeliner on the upper lid. It looked really good on the girl in the magazine. But on my friend, it looked like she had a black eye or something.

The drama stories that they have in there, they are so extrememe, that you don’t think that they could ever happen again. One was about two lesbian girls who killed their grandparents, one was about someone being killed for being pregnant and the another was of a poor homeless man being killed by four teenagers. Hopefully none of these will happen again, but you can’t relate to them at ALL!

I think that the only thing that anyone can really relate to is the funny stories section. There is some hilarious stuff in there, but it is very realistic. I can really relate to all of these things that other people were brave enough to send in. I start cracking up anytime that I read this part. So, this is now the only section that I even bother to look at. It is the only one that you can really understand.  If I were you, I wouldn’t buy Seventeen magazine.  It is a waste of time and money.

math

March 3, 2007

Math.
it pretty much sucks
i mean, who needs to know that 144*0.5=y
unless you are planning to go into accounting or somethin
then it is pretty much a waste of time
who cares how many sides an octogon has
or what the y-intercept is
NO ONE!!!
i think that math should be optional
from algebra on, there is a bunch of crap
you don’t need to know
and the teachers…
they try to convince you that you need to know this and that
they are just trying to do their job and all
but all you really need is the basics
a zookeeper doesn’t need to know the square root of 13 is 149
its like some old guys just randomly decided that math was important
but some jobs need it
so the people who want to do jobs with math should be the ones who have to do it
not the people who don’t want to do anything with it!

Sound

February 22, 2007

What if the world were silent

We wouldn’t need ears

We wouldn’t need laughboxes and voiceboxes

We wouldn’t hear the yelling and screaming

No one’s feelings would get hurt because they were called a name

We wouldn’t be able to laugh

We wouldn’t be able to talk

All of the trees in the world would be cut down

So much paper would be used

All of the simple things that we take for granted would be gone

All of our entertainment would be gone

No tv

No iPods

No talking on the phone

Everything would be on paper

It would take forever to comunicate

I think that even though some of the noises that we hear in the world are bad

The world would pretty much suck without sound

reality

February 13, 2007

movies and television

they are so different from what life is really like

no one ever has seen a doll that runs around and murders people

or a mouse that turns into a horse after a godmother says bippety boppety boo

yet some movies and television

seem so real and so true

that we get lost in their worlds and start believing that a doll is going to pop out

or that our pet mouse jasper will turn into the horse that drives us to the ball

movies and television

the fairytales in movies don’t happen

the horror that movies depict hopefully will never

the people in our favorite tv shows aren’t real

yet there are some people who live life like a horror movie

some people play the evil doll, who murders innocent people for a stupid reason

some people play the victim, the innocent person who was killed for a stupid reason

some people play the victim’s family, the people whose lives are dramaticly changed

then there are the people who live life like a fairytale

some people play the pretty girl, who is nice and sweet but undiscovered by love

some people play the evil stepsister, who is blocking the beautiful girl from life

some people play the helpers, the ones who love the beautiful girl and help her

some people play prince, the lucky guy who meets the girl and falls in love

i believe that in life

you need to make your own fairytales

you need to stop the horror story from unraveling

you need to make your own miracle

tv and movies

they give us ideas of what perfect is

but their perfect shouldn’t be your perfect

you need to make things happen

because in reality

a fairytale can happen once upon a time

Say Goodbye

January 30, 2007

There’s Never a Right Time to Say Goodbye.

In this song, Chris Brown is talking about saying goodbye to a girlfriend.  But I think that this phrase is true in more than just love, but in life.  When a loved one dies,  you don’t want to have to say goodbye.  There’s never a right time to and no one should ever have to, but everyone does.  I have been lucky enough not to have anyone in my family that I was really close to pass away.  My great-grandparents did, and I loved them, but not as I love my mom, dad, sister, cousins, uncles, aunts, grandparents and friends.  I grew up with them and was born into a very closeknit family, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.  I know a lot of people out there feel the same way and have to bite their lips when their mind starts to travel down the thought of a loved one dying.  I have been lucky.  But many others I know haven’t.

I have a friend.  She is one of the coolest and funniest people you’ll ever meet.  You would never guess that she had to go through the tradgedy of losing a parent at a young age.  She passes it off like she’s okay, but I sometimes wonder if her hurt is deeper than the eyes can even begin to see and the soul, begin to comprehend.  One of my dad’s best friends growing up had a son.  He was a tall, skinny basketball player who was in college.  He comitted suicide.  No one knew why.  He seemed fine.  The hurt that his parents feel, I know that it will never go away.  Every little thing will remind them of him, and they will have to live the rest of their lives thinking what they did wrong to make their baby kill himself.

Death is a part of life.  Sometimes, you know that it is coming.  But sometimes, it sneaks up on you.  But whether it is expected or unexpected, you need to know that the last thing you said to them was nice, that you went the extra mile to make sure you saw them.  Because if it is unexpected, you will never forgive yourself for calling them something mean, or not calling them to see how they were doing.  Tell the people that you love how you feel.  Live life to the fullest.  Make sure that when you have to say goodbye, there are no regrets.  “Death is not the greatest loss in life.  The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live.”

Except for him

January 23, 2007

She makes it so obvious

Everyone can tell that she loves him

Except for him

She makes it so clear

Everyone understands that she wants him

Except for him

She makes it so easy

Everyone sees that he has the opportunity to go for it

Except for him

She lays it all on the line

Everyone wants it to happen

Except for him

She gets over him

Everyone understands that she doesn’t like him like that anymore

Except for him
